24-Hour Emergency Assistance

This service offers on-call counseling, problem-solving support, and immediate help for non-injury health or personal emergencies at a person’s home. It is not a substitute for 911 and should not be used when emergency medical care is needed.

What’s Included

Non-Equipment Services:

  • Immediate response for in-home assistance

  • On-call support for counseling and problem-solving

Equipment Services:

  • Installation and testing of a Personal Emergency Response System (PERS)

  • PERS device and monitoring service

What’s Not Included

The following are not covered under 24-hour emergency assistance:

  • Regularly scheduled on-call support that is part of other services

  • Staffing provided through other services

  • Overnight support from staff (awake or asleep) in the person’s home
