Types of Respite Care

Care provided in the person’s own home. It can also include time spent in public community spaces (such as parks, malls, or libraries) while the person is still considered to be in their home environment.
Out-of-Home Respite:
Care provided in a licensed or unlicensed setting outside of the person’s home. This may also include visits to public places (like malls, parks, or libraries) while the person is staying in the out-of-home setting.
